From a disastrous debut to victories
Vlad Galitsky is a stand-up comedian, IT specialist, and master of witty jokes. He began his career in stand-up comedy at the age of seventeen, when he first decided to sign up for an open mic night... He went on stage and forgot all his lines. The stunning failure forced the comedian to step away from the stage for six months, but his return was a success: his jokes resonated with the audience and inspired him to develop further. Vlad Galitsky then combined working in IT with writing jokes for one of the teams on the ‘League of Laughter’ show. In 2018, the comedian decided to try his hand at the show ‘Make the Comedian Laugh’ – he won and repeated his success a year later.
Vlad Galitsky has been constantly working on his signature style over the years. Gradually, he moved from long monologues to short jokes – one-liners. In an interview, the stand-up comedian admitted that he bases his humour on his own observations and situations in which he or his friends found themselves. He honestly notes that the best jokes come when he is not planning them.
Jokes for those who live in the world of code and deadlines
With ten years in comedy and the same amount of time in IT, Vlad Galitsky has collected a wealth of observations, stories, and absurd situations familiar to anyone who has ever worked on a laptop. This prompted the stand-up comedian to embark on his first stand-up tour of coworking spaces, ‘You're an IT guy,’ to explore with humour and self-irony what the daily life of a modern IT specialist really consists of.
Vlad Galitsky's new tour is dedicated to those who know what tasks, delayed releases, communication on TikTok, and unsolved memes from Jira are. This stand-up is about stereotypes, pain, funny insights, and the future of IT – light, honest, ironic, and extremely recognisable. Come and see for yourself!
