At the centre of the plot is a girl named Alice, who, together with the Cat, the Guardian of the Star, embarks on a dangerous and magical journey through fantastic worlds. She tries to save the magical Star from the insidious Dragoness and preserve the dreams of thousands of inhabitants. Along the way, the heroes face trials, fears and choices that test their faith in themselves and in goodness.
